With quality construction by Johnson Builders, the nearly 9,000-square-foot home, built in 2001, rests upon more than half an acre of land that overlooks a pond at the back of the property. According to the homeowners, Anup and Vibha Agarwal, the home has great curb appeal. “The private setting, the open design—it is perfect for a family and for entertaining,” said Vibha. And, with five bedrooms, four full- and two half-bathrooms, there is no shortage of accommodations for residents and guests.
On the main level, each visitor steps into the light-filled foyer and is enchanted by the surroundings. With the open concept formal living area and the library immediately accessible, the unique floor plan is enhanced by high ceilings and eight-foot doorways. It is suited to large gatherings with plenty of space for guests to socialize

with ease.
The living room, which features a beautiful natural fireplace, includes expansive windows to showcase the four seasons and tranquil views of the pond to the west. The large dining room accommodates many guests for holiday dinners and special celebrations.
Just beyond this section of the home, a distinctly separate and casual, open kitchen and family room includes another fireplace. Warm, wood cabinets in the chef’s kitchen are complemented by granite countertops and quality, top-grade appliances.
Whether making a weeknight meal for the family or serving drinks and appetizers to guests, the kitchen overlooks both a relaxed dining area and gathering space that really blends three rooms into one and lends itself to comfort and convenience. From here, connect to the outdoor patio and fireplace, where everyone will want to dine al fresco in warmer months. “The outdoor fireplace is a special feature of this home. And sitting out there, it is the best place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of tea,” said Vibha.
A generous backyard provides another place for children to gather and play outside—all within sight of the adults in the house or on the patio.
The living spaces on the main level flow easily into one another. Each room boasts ample storage for everyday living and ease of entertaining. A generous laundry room and powder room are conveniently situated between the kitchen and the rear hall entry from the three-car garage.
The transition from formal to less formal entertainment space on this level is subtle, due to quality, custom-millwork and craftsmanship that are consistent throughout the home. The neutral décor provides a soothing, relaxed atmosphere.
Practicality meets comfort in the library where the busy executive takes care of business, while surrounded by rich cherry paneling and beam work and pleasant views of the front yard. The master suite is adjacent to the library. Here, the homeowners retire to a luxurious bedroom and bathroom, featuring a spa bath in marble and well-appointed fixtures. A walk-in closet affords ample storage space for two.
The finished lower level includes diverse entertainment space. It features another full kitchen, with a bar, great room with a natural fireplace, and game space—great for a pool table or ping pong table for teenagers. A kids’ playroom includes a small screen for movie nights or Wii games, and a child-size ‘house’ was incorporated into the design for younger kids. Add in a separate, formal theatre with seating for up to six movie lovers and multiple entertainment options are covered. A guest bedroom, full bathroom, and exercise room complete this space.
“Literally, not many houses in the area have a full-fledged movie theatre with a 100-inch screen. With plenty of space, we could easily host 10 to 20 families for Super Bowl parties or movie nights and not feel crowded,” said Anup.
Natural light abounds on the second level, thanks to high ceilings and windows which help illuminate the home throughout the day. The hallway and balcony overlook the foyer and formal living area and provide additional views of the front and back yards. Two large bedrooms are connected by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom on one end of the hallway, while another bedroom and full bath round out the second floor. Each bedroom includes a walk-in closet.
The beautiful setting of this home provides a variety of entertainment options, both inside and out. One of Anup’s favorite features is the pond. “In the summer, I would see my neighbor fishing with his kids. Then, in winter, kids would ice skate or play hockey,” said Anup, adding that the pond is enjoyed by several families in the subdivision.
This home’s location is unsurpassed. Just outside of Stonefields, access to excellent schools within the Mequon-Thiensville district is just minutes away. A walking path meanders through the subdivision and leads to Homestead High School, located about one mile to

the west.
The shops in the Mequon Pavilion run the gamut from national chain stores to boutiques—and this home and premier shopping destinations are connected via Mequon Road. Restaurants in the area are diverse and so are the recreational activities, such as the chance to see the Lakeshore Chinooks in action. The Chinooks—a collegiate wooden bat team—are the current defending champions of the Northwoods League and play all of their home games at KAPCO Park at Concordia University. Located in Mequon on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, the campus plays host to great family-friendly and affordable Chinooks’ games that are close to home.
With proximity to I-43, the commute into Milwaukee for business or social engagements is easy and convenient, making Justin Drive a must-see residence.
