A still, quiet atmosphere and rolling pastoral views dominate the landscape at Saddlebrook Farms II in Oconomowoc. Driving into Saddlebrook Farms one first sees Kentucky fences surrounding large acreages dotted with upscale residences. Visitors may feel as if they are experiencing two exclusive worlds. A quarter-mile driveway leads directly to the home at N85W36400 Riverwood Lane. This large brick home was designed for those who desire an elegant lifestyle within a country setting. It possesses amenities comparable to upscale suburban living while also being a dedicated horse farm. The property has the atmosphere of a true country estate, with 35 acres on which to ride horses and explore the beautiful countryside. Enjoy the best of country living and city luxury in this recently built home. The property features two fish-filled ponds and abundant space for a growing family to roam. Just beyond the house an enormous section of land covered by a sea of lavender flowers is encircled by a mowed foot path, providing a 2-mile circuit for the owner’s morning jog and evening stroll. On the way to the trail, a large, fenced-in round pen provides grazing space for two llamas and space to train their two horses. This property is a fully functional horse farm, featuring an outbuilding with three stables and a large area for equipment. The outbuilding is located not far from main house, providing convenient access for checking on the animals.

The owner’s are wonderful people and exceptional parents. The home was designed for entertaining family and friends. It was was also designed with an open floor plan featuring large windows to bring the beautiful outdoors, indoors year-round’s The stately exterior is constructed with a full brick veneer and features custom brick entrance monuments. From the back of the house three full stories with nine-foot poured concrete walls on the lower level impresses visitors with a sense of the home’s immense proportions. The home includes a four-car garage, and with six bedrooms and four and one-half baths there is no shortage of room for a large family or for entertaining.

One enters the house into a two-story foyer featuring recessed octagonal ceilings with double wide crown moldings. Just off the foyer to the right, an office with double glass doors allows a full view of who’s coming and going through the front door. Above the entrance, an elaborate metal chandelier lights the way into the great room. Olive walls in the foyer accent a tan ceiling and cherry moldings surrounding golden light emanating from the chandelier. The formal dining room is also reached from the foyer.

Entering the great room, one is struck by the view of the backyard and property extending into the distance. In addition to providing a view of the fresh countryside, numerous large windows overlook a pond surrounded by sloping trees just beyond a custom in ground heated pool. Imagining the many activities available while living here, one can see why people of all ages would enjoy this home and surrounding property.

While enjoying the view, look to the right and be dazzled by a floor-to-ceiling stone masonry fireplace with cherry paneled surround. The fireplace reaches up to the twenty-foot ceiling and is flanked on either side by cherry built-in bookcases. The cathedral-like splendor of this elaborate fireplace adds to the amazing ambience felt in the great room. Light-colored hardwood floors cover the span of the great room and extend into a dinette next to the kitchen. The dinette shares the same view as the great room, opening onto a connected screened porch with radiant heated floors.

The lower level patio is the perfect spot to socialize with friends while gazing onto the backyard’s greenery and allows a full view of the swimming pool and pond. Imagine a pleasant evening during which after-dinner conversation takes place overlooking an extensive span of countryside. If your friends bring children, you can keep an eye on them while they enjoy the pond or swimming pool. Your entire party might also enjoy a game on the complete volleyball court just over a small hill next to the pool. The kitchen features amenities that allow full meal preparation in comfort. Cherry cabinets provide plenty of storage space, while ample granite countertops, including an island countertop in the center of the kitchen, provide enough work space to make cooking dinner a social event. A six-burner Dacor range and extra ovens beside the island counter to its right will accommodate even the largest cooking tasks. The kitchen shares the same hardwood floors as the dinette and great room and opens onto both dining rooms for easy access. A walk-in pantry and large walk-in closet are located just beside the kitchen at rear entrance to the home.

Step into the formal dining room to appreciate a tasteful look of quality construction. White rectangular wall moldings at the floor level accent octagonal recessed dental moldings on the ceiling. Earth-tone walls accent a cream-colored ceiling, while three sets of bright white dental moldings, two of them recessed and surrounding a metal chandelier, create a unique and visually stunning effect. Built-in cherry china cabinets with cherry mantle solidify the feel of quality found in this room. The far wall of the dining room features a large entryway that opens into the foyer. It is framed in cherry wood with a glass partition near the ceiling and anchors a hand-railing for a stairway leading to the upper level. Past the great room and through the hallway past a wet bar, the sixteen-by-twenty foot master bedroom includes a twelve-foot vaulted ceiling and recessed octagonal ceiling steps with rope lighting. The view from the master bedroom offers another spectacular view of the pond. In the master bath, amenities include his and her closets and his and her vanities. Raise the remote controlled shade over the large whirlpool tub and look upon the view of a large field of lavender flowers. Heated floors add to the feeling of comfort in the master bath, as does the large walk in ceramic tile shower with corner seat and dual shower heads.

The authentic two-tone mill-made staircase with traditional decorative wood balusters from the foyer bends ninety degrees mid-way up the stairs, taking full advantage of the space offered by the vaulted ceiling. On the upper level, four bedrooms provide ample room for the family. All of the bedrooms have access to their own bathroom as well as vaulted or raised ceilings. The last bedroom is used as a bonus room and is large enough to accommodate almost any kind of indoor activity imaginable.

The lower level offers another space for relaxation and recreation. Next to the large family room area is another full-size kitchen. A brick fireplace beside the lower level kitchen will keep everyone comfortable while entertaining on cold nights. But when it’s warm, enjoy sitting on a lower level patio that leads directly to the pool. The fully fenced-in heated pool is surrounded by views of hardwoods and the pond.

The patio offers a nice place to relax in view of the pool while soaking up warm summer sunlight. On the lower level, a workout room is well suited for recreation and exercise, while a large work room is ready for weekend projects. Another bathroom with his and her sinks is just off the lower level bedroom. It features a walk-in shower and large ceramic floor tiles. An attractive archway recessed into the wall of the bedroom provides space for a dresser. A similar archway is found near the family room, adding an elegant accent to the living space.
