In a world growing seemingly more complicated from one day to the next, should we not as individuals develop so close an affiliation with the greatest motivating force the world will ever know that some of that God-power becomes a practical force in our affairs? If necessary, one can live rightly without church affiliation. Without God affiliation, however, is there any point at all to living?
Is not God non-denominational? Is He not unconcerned with creed or color? Have we any instance of His bestowing greater favors on Protestants than upon Catholics; on whites than on blacks. Is not the comforting thing about God the fact that to Him His creationÑmanÑis an individual manifestation of Himself and does not that man receive the most help from God who is in closet communication with Him? In these days of mass-communication, have we not become somewhat negligent of individual communication? Churches seem to be growing bigger and bigger. There are those for whom church attendance is a comfortably social way to get religion: an hour a week of appropriate music, carefully-worded admonition, a conscience-easing collection plate; a virtuous relaxation over doing the right thing with the right people in the right place.

Unquestionably, church affiliation is desirable as thousands of church members will testify. More desirable, however, is God-affiliation because it permits one to cut through the white fences of bigotry within which, even leaning complacently against which, are those church members who glory in what they believe in their vested interest in the Truth.

Is it possible for a single denomination to have a vested interest in the Truth any more than for another to have a vested interest in God?
Is not salvation an individual problem based entirely on unwavering faith in, intelligent understanding of, and simple communication with, the one God?
If we are to steer ourselves safely through the present, should we not immediately establish as close a contact with God as is humanly possible and then live accordingly?
